Leslie Aaronson is the Lead Teacher and Coordinator of Foshay Learning Center’s Technology Academy. In 2012 she was awarded Teacher of the Year by LAUSD for her work running the three year program for 10th-12th graders which focuses on computer science as it pertains to college and career. She has written several articles and given keynote addresses about how she prepares her students for the careers of the future. Leslie sits on the advisory board for the Computer Science Department of El Camino College and Peerspring. She is also researcher for CS Teaching Tips. .Prior to teaching, Leslie was the Production Manager for Blue’s Clues International at Nickelodeon. Her computer lab is a place for innovation and exploration. Leslie lives with her husband and two daughters. She received a BA in Anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis; Master's in Educational Communication and Technology from New York University; she hold Career Technical Education credentials in Information, Communication and Technology and Media, Entertainment and Arts as well as an Administrative Leadership and English Single Subject credentials.
