Niharika Suravarjjala's greatest technical accomplishment so far has been producing the app Food Foresight, which is an app that with a scan of a barcode can alert you when a food item expires or whether or not one is allergic to the ingredients within it. Food Foresight and her other projects motivated her to continue pursuing data science and to intern at both Apple and Couchbase over the summer of 2020. She is also the President of Gael Force Robotics and the Project Lead for Project T.E.R.S.U.S - a sanitization drone the club is building to fly over and disinfect the school's football stadium and city parks. The drone allows for twice the flight time of industrial drones at a quarter of the market price. She aspires to apply her love for languages, people, and computing to innovate solutions to life’s most pressing problems. Niharika would like to work in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning. She would like to study projects that are associated with robotics, data analysis, and software engineering (specifically working on user interfaces). Regardless of where her career may take her, she aspires to continue using technology to make a tangible, positive impact on people and inspiring others to do the same.
