Nidhi R.
Nidhi is currently a senior at Lower Moreland High School. She became interested in computer science almost three years ago after joining the Neural Engineering Data Consortium (NEDC), a software engineering research lab at Temple University that focuses on signal processing. As a member of the Software/Tools Team at NEDC, Nidhi helps to review, write, and release code, including helping to complete a real-time seizure detection system and preparing a research seizure detection system for clinical trial with Nihon Kohden, one of the leading names regarding EEGs.
Nidhi is also the founder of Math 4 Girls, an organization that advocates for, educates, empowers, and inspires elementary school girls through an after-school program highlighting real-world math and computer science problems typically not encountered in the school setting. She concurrently leads the club at her local elementary school to establish a model for other high school girls seeking to lead a branch of Math 4 Girls at their respective local elementary schools.
In the future, Nidhi plans on attending a four-year college to study math or computer science. She hopes to apply her skills in technology to the intersection between computer science and sociology, bridging her two main interests.
