Huy P.

A science teacher by trade but a STEM teacher at heart. Huy currently teaches AP Bio and Biotech but also co-coordinates the STEM program at WHS. The STEM program´s goal is to help students (mostly low socioeconomic minority students) obtain the knowledge and resources to study STEM in college and hopefully a career in STEM. His main responsibility is to help students obtain real world application of their STEM knowledge through hands on projects, competitions and internships and provide mentorship throughout. Several activities include the Orange County Science and Engineering Fair, UC Davis C-STEM, CyberPatriot, Nanovation, Exploravision, Boeing etc. Outside of school Huy serves as a leader at his church youth group (VEYM) and loves to travel to various countries and experience different cultures and food.
