Ella J.

Ella is a current Junior attending Amador Valley High School. She has been engaged with computer science and its applications through internship, self-study courses, machine learning research, and teaching youth through clubs like Girls Who Code. She has been especially interested in computer science's role in healthcare. One of her major experiences in this field lies her project on using supervised machine learning to predict sleep disorder. She enjoys being in the science community, both professionally and people-centered, from research experience to volunteer groups including her three year and ongoing role at the accessible STEM-education focused Chabot Space and Science Center. Moving forward, Ella is interested in diving deeper into her growing interest in astronomy and artificial intelligence, and the computations involved in each.
