Autumn H.

Autumn Honts has taught in the STEAM and computer science realm for thirteen years. She has written curricula for STEAM and computer science programs for rural and suburban school districts in various capacities. She has worked with Code.org and CodeVA to advance the computer science offerings in Virginia by educating teachers on various computer science class offerings. Most recently, she has been a computer science department team member at CodeRVA Regional High School - a computer science-focused public school that serves fifteen districts in the Richmond area. She has shown all her students that they belong in STEM/STEAM/computer science regardless of gender. While creating a safe space for many students, she has added to the offerings at the school by writing the curriculum and teaching the new digital arts pathway to engage more of the student interests at CodeRVA.
