Audra Rudys teaches computer science and technology classes part-time at Wayzata High School. She earned her B.A. in Math from Dartmouth College and worked in the corporate and non-profit sectors in various tech roles, including development and implementation of decision / recommendation engines. Her work piqued an interest in AI, and she returned to school to complete her M.S. in Computer Science at Depaul University. When her children started school, Audra shifted from consulting to volunteering and discovered a passion for mentoring students in STEAM activities, starting with Destination Imagination and later in her classroom. This year, she was excited to roll out an introductory programming class created to make computing more accessible and attractive to students with little to no previous coding experience. She also advises Technovation Girls club. When not geeking out, she enjoys photography, traveling, hiking, and camping with her husband and three children.
