Aishwarya T.

Aishwarya is a senior at the University of Maryland, College Park, studying human-computer interaction, user-centered design, and art history. Aishwarya's creative personality type is The Visionary, and as a result, she has embarked on many different ventures in her career so far that have formed her career path. She is fluent in four coding languages, has industry experience in UX/UI and product design, and is now trying her hand in the world of virtual and augmented reality. Through her experience with UMD's Design Thinking School, she has gained valuable design thinking and storytelling skills, which she has played a part in almost every aspect of her thinking. She is currently the Chief Product Officer of a startup she co-founded called Chat Health, which aims to streamline campus health resources for students. She hopes to continue using her design skills to make an impact in her community. Her greatest technical accomplishment to date has been an AR interactive horror experience which she debuted at the NextNow fest, UMD's annual performing arts festival. She is also working on an AR Feelings Garden, which brings students together to anonymously share their stories virtually "planted" in the green spaces on campus. Community health, especially community mental health, is incredibly important to her and she hopes to pursue higher education in this field upon graduation.
