    • If you have more than one role on aspirations.org, such as Affiliate Team Member or Coordinator, you may see multiple Dashboard icons on your screen. In this case, click on “Reviewer Dashboard”.

    • You can always return to your dashboard by clicking “My Dashboard” in the upper righthand corner of the screen.

*NOTE: If this is your first time as a reviewer or other type of user, you will need to “Create a New Account.”

Please follow the prompts and once you have completed your profile, you will be taken to your Reviewer Dashboard.

Contact [email protected] at any time if you are experiencing technical difficulties or have an issue that needs resolving.

Step 2: Review the Instructions on the Dashboard
  • It is very important that you familiarize yourself with the instructions for reviewers, which can be viewed from the dashboard at all times.

  • Please be sure to reviewer the Reviewer Instructions for a guide on how to review applications with the rubric.

Step 3: Complete Your Reviewer Profile
  • If you are just getting started, you will need to complete the items in your Reviewer Account Task List, such as completing your Reviewer Profile.

  • If you are a returning reviewer and show a “warning” to complete your profile - with no indication what is missing - please ignore. You should be able to proceed without issue.

Step 4: Request Applications to Review
  • To start reviewing you must first “request applications” to be assigned to your reviewer account. To do this, click the “Submit” button under “Request Applications to Review."

  • Please note that this system allows a reviewer to request either High School or Educator applications from this panel; although the only choices available will be applications that are currently being reviewed.

  • After requesting applications to review, the assigned applications will appear in the next panel down in “Assigned Reviews”

Step 5: Begin a Review
  • Select “Complete Review” next to any of the assigned reviews. This will open the Application Review screen.

  • At the top of the Review page, you can at any time click on “View Application #123” to read through the application. Please also note that the entire application is available on the same screen as the rubric this year. You may scroll through the application on the left side of the screen and scroll through the rubric on the right side of the screen independently.

  • This will open the Award Application in a separate window. Note that personal details about the applicant will be obscured for the applicant’s privacy.

  • Read the essay prompts and the applicant’s responses, then score the application based on the qualities described in the rubric on the right side of your scrren. Look for these qualities to be evident throughout the entire application, rather than how well they answer each individual application. Portrayal of these qualities is how you will score the application.

  • There are 5 qualities to score. You must score all 5 qualities.

  • If there is an Educator Endorsement, you will find it in the second section, "Endorsement", located below the "Application Questions & Answers" section.

  • At the bottom of the screen, complete the required final comments.

  • If you wish to stop your work prior to completing the review, click on the blue “Save progress” button at the bottom of the screen. This will take you back to the Reviewer Dashboard.

  • If you have completed your review, click on the green “Submit completed review” button.

  • Your completed applications will be listed in the panel on the right side of your dashboard, “Completed Reviews”

Step 6: Unassign Reviews (optional)
  • If you wish to unassign a particular application (for example, identifiable information about the applicant indicates a conflict of interest), you can unassign an individual review by clicking “Unassign Review” next to the application in question

  • If you no longer have time to complete additional reviews, you can click “Unassign all reviews” at the bottom of the “Assigned Reviews” panel to release all assigned applications; this will allow other reviewers to review those applications.

Additional Notes
  • You may complete as many or as few reviews as you are able to, however a minimum of ten reviews is recommended and requested.

  • If you cannot complete any more reviews, please contact us so we can remove you from further email communications.

  • If, at any time, you are having technical difficulties or have a question, please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected].
