AiC Members In the News (November-December 2020)

  • AiC Community Member and Reinvented Magazine Founder Caeley Looney collaborated with Beauty and the Bolt to create a 2021 calendar called “Princesses with Power Tools.” Featuring women technologists from a variety of fields, the project is about letting girls know that they don’t have to choose between interests in STEM and other hobbies; there is room in the tech world for all of who they are. 
  • AiC Community Member and Harvard Medical Student Pooja Chandrashekar uses technologies such as VR, natural language processing, and machine learning to develop innovative approaches to a variety of medical challenges. This fall, she was listed as one of Forbes Magazine’s 30 under 30 in Health Care. 
  • “It really opened my eyes to this whole other career and opportunities, and that’s why I... want to pass the torch.” // AiC Community Member Kimi Du is using Zoom to teach coding classes for younger students during the pandemic. Along the way, she’s been mentored by another AiC Community Member, Swetha Prabakaran, who founded the nonprofit organization Everybody Code Now. Get the story here.
