Colorado Affiliate

2023 -2024 Applications are closed.  If you are currently in 9th-12th grade and are a woman, genderqueer, or non-binary student who is interested in computing and technology, you are invited to join the AiC Community. Collegiate students in a technical major or minor are also invited to join the AiC Community.

2024-25 high school applications open on September 1, 2024.


The Colorado Affiliate is proud to host the NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Award, which recognizes high school and collegiate women, genderqueer and non-binary students from all across the state of Colorado. Award recipients are selected for their aptitude and interest in IT and computing, solid leadership ability, good academic history, and plans for post-secondary education.

In addition to be recognized as some of the top tech talent in the country, NCWIT Award recipients are given special scholarship consideration at Colorado School of Mines and University of Colorado, Boulder! 

Award winners are given priority consideration at Colorado School of Mines for (1) up to $10,000/year (through the PATHS program, which is for those classified with financial need) AND (2) $1,000 scholarship (through the department).


Additionally at University of Colorado Boulder, AiC Community members are given high priority BOLD participation scholarship, worth up to $8,000 ($2,000 per year, renewable over 4 years). Click here for the application link.
