Yana F.

Yana is an inspiring computing professional. Yana has completed AP CS Principles and AP CS A. She is a part of her school's Math team and earned a Top 5 score among female participants in the state of WI in MAA AMC10 competition. She received several awards in hackathons and programming competitions hosted by Marquette University and MSOE. Yana is part of many CS outreach initiatives; she led “Exploring AI” sessions for middle and elementary school students. She represented her school on code.org student advisory board where she provided feedback regarding a new AP CS A curriculum. Yana is an instructor at Mathnasium where she is enjoying sharing her love for math with young students. Yana is interested in pursuing a PhD degree in Data Science, CS and/or Actuarial Science and hopes to become a college professor.
