Upasana D.

Upasana is a Computer Science Master's student at the University of Colorado Boulder where she works with Aaron Clauset and Dan Larremore at the Clauset and Larremore Lab. Her research interest lies at the intersection of Network Science, Complexity Science, and Statistics. After her Master's, Upasana wants to pursue a Ph.D. in Computer Science, where she wants to apply her network analysis and computing knowledge to answering computational social science questions. Her biggest achievement so far has been to get her work accepted for a talk at the Networks 2021 conference (a joint Sunbelt and NetSci conference) which is one of the largest networks conferences to date. She is also one of the only ~50 participants selected worldwide for the Complexity Interactive course (SFI-CI 2021) at the prestigious Santa Fe Institute. In the long run, Upasana wants to pursue a career in research where she can apply her skills to significantly contribute to the scientific society.
