Sally Z.

Sally is an eleventh grader at the Harker School, where she enjoys her math and computer science courses. She started competition math as a middle schooler, and has qualified for AIME four times, placed 5th at MathCounts State, won first place Countdown at the Santa Clara chapter, and has received Honorable Mention at the Advantage Testing Foundation Math Prize for Girls. At school, she is taking Multivariate Calculus. Sally is also an officer of the school’s Programming club and in the Girls Programming League organization, and she is in the USACO gold division. She has studying AP Java with Data Structures in school, and she knows how to code in C, C++, Python, Java, and Processing. Furthermore, Sally loves to do research projects in astronomy, and has placed second at Synopsys qualified for the state round, CSEF. Sally wants to improve her math skills and research about math. She would like to attend college to pursue her studies, specifically math and computer science.
