Colleen A.

Colleen has been teaching Computer Science at the High School level for 19 years at all levels including Software Applications, Web Design, Python Programming, AP Computer Science Principles, AP Computer Science A (Java), and Advanced Computer Programming. She has been the sponsor for the Computer Club and National Technical Honor Society for the last 6 years. Colleen has been the leader of the CS program working to include a more diverse group of students especially young women, challenging them and guiding them to develop a passion in CS. She has also been an integral part of the MCPS Athletic Department's move to include technology through a revamp of the website, use of online databases to track coach data, and helping design and tailor the online registration process for athletes. Colleen's future goals include having more students, especially young women, complete the CS Pathway, taking 5 CS courses at the high school level.
