Cindy M.

Cindy has been teaching math and computer science at Patchogue-Medford High School since 1999. Since 2000 she taught Beginning Programming (including Visual Basic, C++, logo, Alice, and Robot-C) and Web Design/Java programming. In 2018 she started teaching Advanced Placement Computer Science Principles using APP Inventor. In 2019 she started teaching Advanced Placement Computer Science A and Advanced Data Structures after her mentor of 20 years retired. Last year she designed and implemented a new Principles of Cybersecurity curriculum for her district. This year she also started a Computer Science and Coding club in which anyone can join. She is an advocate for equality in her programs and is currently redesigning her district's Computer Science program to meet the needs of all students in the future.
