Ajayi A.

Ajayi uses her expertise in computing and education to promote equitable access to quality computer science education. She works with The Futures Fund Tech Academy to provide tech-based programming for teens and young adults in Baton Rouge. She works with the East Baton Rouge Parish Library system to organize Coding workshops for kids and adults at various library locations. She introduced Coding to students at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge. As a volunteer at her Children's school - Basis Baton Rouge, she started the coding club. She was also the Coordinator of the inaugural Berkeley Lab Director's Apprenticeship program at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley, California for Summer and Fall, 2020. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a Master's in Information systems, and is currently working on a Ph.D. at Southern University and A&M, in Science and Math Education with a research focus on equity in computer science education.
