My name is Mark Harris and I am excited about teaching at the new T-STEM Academy at East High School. I was the Keyboarding/Document Layout and Design teacher at White Station High School from 2008 through 2011. I returned back to White Station in 2013. I previously taught computer technology at Immaculate Conception Cathedral School and I was a Technology Teacher-on-Assignment for Memphis City Schools for the World Language Department. I was born and raised here in Memphis and attended Sheffield High School. I graduated from State Technical Institute @ Memphis with an A.A.S. degree in Banking and Finance. I then continued my education at Christian Brothers University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. I graduated with my Master of Arts in Teaching-Curriculum and Instruction Leadership from the University of Memphis in 2015. I currently teach AP Computer Science Principles and Interactive Multimedia Design and Presentation. Before I changed careers and became a teacher, I was a banker. I have worked for many of the banks here in Memphis as a branch manager. I enjoyed my banking career, but my favorite part of this career was training new employees to help them achieve their goal of becoming a branch manager. I wanted to expand on my teaching experience, so I am now teaching with Shelby County Schools. I love helping students achieve and look forward to helping them become successful at whatever goals they want to achieve.
