Pam Whitlock teaches AP Computer Science courses at Chattahoochee High School in Johns Creek, GA. She is a PLC Lead Teacher and adviser for the following clubs: LaunchX, Hooch Codes, CS for Girls and Hooch eNABLE. Pam has worked with the GA Tech EarSketch team and has helped train GA computer science teachers to use EarSketch in their AP Computer Science Principles course or GA Computer Science Principles course. She is now working with the CEISMC center at GA Tech to create a culturally responsive, project based curriculum for APCSP. Pam is an AP Reader for APCS Principles and has also taught a GaDOE AP Regional Workshop for APCSP. She has presented at the Georgia Business Educators Conference as well. Pam has also been instrumental in helping 6-8 high school girls get summer internships with CareerBuilder.com's Summer Girls in Tech internship program. Pam holds a degree in Elementary Education from Western Carolina University, a business certification for the State of GA and a Computer Science Endorsement from the State of GA earned through Kennesaw State University. She is a small business owner and a mother of four children. Pam began teaching Computer Science at Chattahoochee High School in 2015. With the support of Chattahoochee administration and Fulton County CTE, the computer science courses at Chattahoochee High School have doubled in the past three years. Currently, Pam teaches 66 students in AP Computer Science Principles and 93 students in AP Computer Science A. Pam is the Teacher of the Year for Chattahoochee High School and the NorthEast Learning Community of Fulton County Schools for 2019.
