Nazaret is a senior attending the Young Women's Leadership School of Astoria who has been passionate about technology and computer science since she took her first coding class at 12 years old. Since then, it has been her goal to educate herself by taking every opportunity she can relate to computer science and to help other girls discover technology as well. Throughout the years, she has worked on various projects, such as taking on a leadership role in the creation of her school's annual Digital Dance and TYWLS Tech Explorers camp, a summer computer science and entrepreneurship immersion program. She has also appeared in the first bilingual and technology-based episode of SciGirls on PBS, interned at a software startup called Warnable, and more. Nazaret's goals for the future are to go to college to pursue a STEM career and to influence more girls to take advantage of the opportunities computer science can give them.
