Michelle is a dedicated teacher and mentor to her students in both physics and independent research at the Academy of Aerospace Engineering. She enjoys watching her students make find innovative and creative solutions to difficult problems. The New Jersey native has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, a M.S. in Mechanics and a Material Science, and a Ph.D. in Material Science and Engineering from Rutgers University. She began her teaching career in college where she taught transmission and scanning electron microscopy, and engineering statics and dynamics. After working for Spalding Sports Worldwide designing new materials for golf balls and sports equipment, Dr. Bellinger returned to teaching. In her spare time, she likes to read, garden, and hike.
