Linda received her B.S. in Mathematics with a Computer Science Minor at Virginia Tech in 1982, and an M.Ed. in Technology Education Leadership from Lamar University in 2012. She began her career as a programmer and consultant at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, and became involved in education when her own children started school. She served as IT Manager at Oxford Falls Grammar School in Sydney, Australia for 8 years. After relocating to Texas in 2002, she moved to the classroom, and has been teaching AP Computer Science at Carroll Senior High School for 11 years. Linda loves challenging her students and thrives on providing opportunities for them to excel, evidenced by the championship Computer Science and Robotics teams she coaches. She is passionate about Computer Science, and wants to see more students, especially women, take computer science courses in high school. She is the founder of the Dallas/Fort Worth chapter of the Computer Science Teachers Association.
