Lilia is a 11th grade honors student at the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, PA. During the summer of 2017, Lilia attended a Prep Program at the University of Pennsylvania where she studied science and technology. In 2016 Lilia completed Intro to the Human Genome with the Summer Institute for the Gifted at Princeton University. From the summer of 2012 to the summer of 2015, Lilia studied chemistry and technology with the Summer Institute for the Gifted at Bryn Mawr College. Lilia has been on both her high school varsity tennis and debate teams since her freshman year. Lilia volunteers as an academic tutor and Jr. Coach for Girls on the Run. In 2017 Lilia was a DECA business competition winner at regionals. She was a DECA business competition winner at regionals, states and nationals in 2016-2017. In 2013 Lilia participated in the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (“YEA”) business plan program and is now on the YEA Advisory Board. Lilia is a Teen Advisory board member at TechGirlz where she also helps teach tech workshops. Lilia is also a Girls Advisory Board member for the National Girls Collaborative Project (“NGCP”). Lilia is most proud of being the founder of She is on a mission to expand computer coding among girls. Females currently comprise only 25% of the computer science workforce. Yet girls that try computer science in high school are ten times more likely to adopt it as their major in college and ultimately work in the industry. Lilia is planning on attending a four year college where she will be studying STEM and business.
