Kathleen has done science fairs since she was in 5th grade. She has won first in the technology category locally each year of middle school. Kathleen advanced to the Tri-county science fair and won second twice and third once. In 7th grade, Kathleen was a Broadcom Master’s Nominee. In 8th grade, Kathleen participated in the Connecticut Invention Convention and won the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering Fair (CASE) award and the Connecticut Science and Engineering Fair award. Then Kathleen moved on to Nationals where she won 2nd place for her grade. Kathleen hopes to study Electronics engineering, aerospace engineering, and computer software in college. Kathleen in her free time helps out at a local elementary school enrichment program, that’s main focus is to expose young children to STEM and STEAM. Kathleen will have one of her inventions on Henry Ford’s Innovation Nation this fall. Kathleen then hopes to pursue a job in engineering.
