Katharina is currently a sophomore in the Science, Math, Computer Science Program at Poolesville High School. She is a member of her school’s FIRST Robotics Competition Team 4099 and FIRST Technology Challenge Team 9450. With these teams, she has volunteered at RoboCamps, a summer camp intended to introduce kids to robotics, and taught at Everyone Can Compute, the weekly library coding class that she attended for three years during middle school. She is proud of her accomplishment in being awarded first place with a team for the Cargo Ship Maryland Engineering Challenge. Her experiences in engineering and computing competitions have influenced her ultimate goal to pursue computer science professionally. In the future, she wishes to major in computer science and work towards a Ph.D. degree.
