I started out as a math teacher and began to use Hour of Code in my classes. This led me to teaching AP Computer Science Principles its inaugural year. The next year I added AP Computer Science A and now also have a course I wrote with a UCR Android development specialist which we named "Advanced Java Topics with Android Studio". We were among the first to be granted a charter for CSTA's National Computer Science Honor Society and we regularly showcase our students in local and state conferences. I also initiated the effort that became the Riverside County Programming Competition which is now spreading to surrounding counties. I believe in my students being able to accomplish amazing things!
