I am in my fourth year teaching as Las Cruces High School. I teach the following CS courses: Intro to CS, Intro to Video Game Design, UNM-Dual Credit Netlogo, AP Computer Science Principles. Additionally, I was lucky enough to work with the Santa Fe Institute to help write and facilitate the CSP-AIMS MOOC which taught modeling and simulation instruction to high school teachers across the globe. I was also fortunate to teach Java this summer at the YWIC summer camp organized by the CS department at NMSU. I am also honored to serve on the Selection Committee for the United World Colleges and on the board of the NM-CSTA. And in 2014 I received recognition at the White House as one of "100 Superstar Computer Science teachers". I also helped to write the grant for CS4HS through google which was funded for this year to train non-CS teachers to computational thinking concepts.
