Danning first became involved with programming in her freshmen year of high school where she was a member of her school’s robotics programming team. Since then, she has taught the new team members the basics of C++ and Java. Her biggest computing accomplishment was when she was accepted into the Apprenticeships in Science and Engineering program and received an internship where she worked for eight 40-hour weeks. In this program, she redesigned a chemistry professor’s online course in LON-CAPA format, organizing pages of lecture notes into hours of lectures and building a program for randomizing exam questions. Danning plans to major in either Computer Science or Math, (or double majoring), in college. She’s looking into becoming a computer engineer, a statistician, an actuary, or a web developer.
