Claire is currently a junior at Monta Vista High School in California. She first started programming in eighth grade, and quickly fell in love with it. Aside from taking computer science in school, she has programmed competitively and is currently in the gold division of USACO. Besides programming competitively, she has applied computer science to the real world, in a science fair research project using deep learning to analyze soil contamination, which she received an honorable mention for, and a research project at Carleton's Summer Computer Science Institute. Claire hopes to major in computer science in college and is interested in further studying its real-world applications.
