Chelsie Del Gaudio is an Information Technology teacher at Tennessee High School in Bristol, Tennessee. She began teaching in 2011 after working in the Information Technology field for six years. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University. Chelsie’s current classes focus on networking, but she is working to expand her classes to include programming in the next school year. She is passionate about attracting more students, especially women, into to the information technology field because she believes that if there were more women role models in the industry it would be easier to attract more women to careers in technology. Chelsie also sponsors the school’s Technology Student Association club, which won first place in the TSA State Video Game Design competition in 2016. Chelsie is committed to continuously improving her information technology program so that it attracts more students every year. This year she began an afterschool coding club designed to attract more students to her information technology classes.
