Bio

I will be a freshman at Stanford University in the fall as a computer science major. For the Summer of 2018, I am interning/apprenticing at Expedia in SF as a software developer for their mobile team. Besides that, I’m the founder and CEO of coderGirls, which is an international nonprofit to educate and empower female K-12 students in technology through chapters, global competitions, mentorship program, inspire_her, and creative curriculum. My advocacy for computer science has allowed me to serve as a member on the National Girl Scouts of America Computer Science Advisory Board. In terms of coding languages, I'm proficient in Java, Swift, and Python. Then, I have learned ROBOTC, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, SQL, PHP, jQuery, MITAppInventor, and Scratch. During high school, I was the president of the Robotics Club, president of a local coderGirls chapter, vice president of Speech and Debate, president of Mu Alpha Theta, and a member of the NHS, Spanish Club, and JETS. Then, I was also a Stanford Women in Computer Science She++ #include fellow 2017, a Miss CEO Ambassador, the U.S.A National Coding Week Ambassador, and a member of the Stanford Scholar Initiative. On a local scale, I did outreach to senior citizens through my nonprofit called SeniorTechNet, where I taught seniors how to use modern technologies. I’m a second-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do after seven years, and I have won four gold medals in forms & three gold medals in weapons at Florida State Championships.
