Bio

I have taught for 18 years, seven of which I have been teaching IT classes. I love seeing my students use their knowledge and creativity to create awesome digital media projects, create games with code, create websites, and create 3D graphics and Animation projects. I have taken classes in digital media, 3d design and graphics, web design, coding, game development and programming in order to learn all that I can to help my students learn as much as I have learned. The problem is that my students surpass me and I am left finding more advanced work for them to do. I have worked in education for 32 years and enjoy it very much. I am on the Snow College Advisory Board for Software Engineering and Technology. I am the Advisor for TSA, Technology Student Association. I am also very involved in various community and church organizations where I teach and learn a lot. I currently serve on the city council and have for 14 years, I run on the ambulance as an EMT-I for the past twenty nine years, I am involved in our local chamber, on various other boards, I have been the Fair Director for the past eight years, and I help my husband run a systems integration business where we do structured cabling, sound rental setup, and jail automation. I enjoy helping wherever I can and want to see my students succeed and learn all that they can. I too enjoy learning and gaining as much knowledge as possible. I love learning about computing and technology. I know this is the way of the future for our students. I want my students to be successful learners, contributors to society, and confident individuals as they prepare for the world of work and college.
