Ariana is a student at the Specialized School of Science, Mathematics, and Technology (CIMATEC) in Caguas. She believes that technology is what has been moving the world from the start, that is why she is so fond of technology and science. She has such a passion for it that she has participated in various internships like BREP, STEMpresarial, NYLF Med and Ladies Can Code where she has developed a base in bioengineering, leadership, entrepreneurship, and coding. At her school in her technology class, she is learning SQL, HTML, and JavaScript. Also, she is part of her school’s Robotics Club being part of team 2252 A as a mechanic and team leader. As a team, they have participated in many competitions including the Latin-American competition and received a Design Award in their first year. She also is a part of the entrepreneurship club at her school and she's helping develop a club to raise awareness about organ donation called the Pink Dot Club. Apart from science and technology, she is interested in music and language. She is learning to play the transverse flute at her school. She also learns Mandarin. Previously she learned some French and Italian. She is also part of the Girl Scouts as a Senior where she develops her creativity and leadership skills and she is working on her Gold Medal Award service project. Last year she was elected to be the president of the National Junior Honor Society of Puerto Rico. Last summer she was a mentor at the Aspire IT program HelloGirlPR where she taught other girls about coding. In the future, she is interested in having a career related to bioengineering or pathology.
