I grew up in Geddes, South Dakota and graduated from Geddes High School. I went to college at Dakota State University where I earned my bachelors degree in Computer Education and a minor in Business Education. My first teaching job was at Flandreau High School in South Dakota where I had two fabulous female mentors who got me on the right path to being a passionate educator. I taught in Pierre at the junior high for two years teacher tech ed and during the summer I taught technology camps to middle school girls. We learned to use technology, build computers, and program Lego robots. I have taught at Tri-Valley High School for the past 11 years. Here I teach the technology classes mentioned above. I also mange the district's website, and advise the high school student council and FBLA. I have three daughters, myself, and have served as their Girl Scout troop leader too.
