Sowmya Patapati is a current high school senior at the Academy for Computer Science and Technology, pursuing coursework relating to the intersection of the medicine and computer science fields both inside and outside of school. She focuses her efforts on projects that harness the power of technology for social good. In the past she has created an IoT based embedded systems framework to streamline mTBI detection, a virtual reality application to diagnose ADHD, a web application that tracks early biomarkers of neurodegenerative diseases using computer vision and an epinephrine autoinjector with an infinite shelf life. She also directs ImpactCS and acts as a #BUILTBYGIRLS ambassador for Oath.
