Michelle is a sophomore at International Academy Central in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Michelle is the founder of WiSTEM, Women in STEM Club. The club's mission is to focus on broadening STEM opportunities for women. Michelle directs various lectures on STEM topics, while also bringing in experts and professors to talk to the school in hopes of providing inspiration and support to all female students in STEM. Michelle is an avid programmer, starting from 5th grade to teach herself languages from HTML to Python. In 6th grade, her passion for computer programming led her to create her own website and efficient programs. She was a programmer for the mobile app Diamond in Rough before moving onto FRC programming for the nationally-ranked team 469 Las Guerrillas. Now, Michelle is a member of IA's Varsity Science Olympiad team, Eurochallenge team, Programming Club, while also training as a Junior Olympian in rhythmic gymnastics. In the future, she hopes to continue pursuing her passion of computer science into creating efficient and innovative technology to help the world, especially in the field of biomedicine.
