Yajie, who goes by the name Jasmine, is a junior at Hanover High School. She is an active member of her community, participating in athletics, volunteer work, and other extracurricular activities such as school clubs and jobs. She has been working as an instructor for a local programming camp, Stem Robotix, since 2015 and was a junior instructor for Young Hacks Academy for the past two summers. In addition, she works at a local retirement home. She is also an avid mathlete, competing in regional, state, and New England competitions. She is also part of the Quiz Bowl team, juggling club, and Project Pamodzi. In athletics, she is a three sport varsity athlete, captains the track team, and had won two rookie of the year awards, a Sportsmanship award, and two All-State honors awards. She also volunteers with the group Youth-In-Action, and is certified in Mental Health First Aid. At her school, she has been taking programming courses, and in the future, she hopes that she can take classes at the nearby Dartmouth College so that she can expand her knowledge about computing. After high school, she would like to attend college and study more about programming and mathematics.
