Aleah is a senior at Northern Guilford High School and also, takes CTE Classes at Weaver Academy. She is a member of the National Honor Society, National Beta Club, National Technical Honor Society, Film and Animation Club (President), and Skills USA. Also, she is a Summit Rotary Club- McKnight Scholar. She is a Near Peer Mentor for BRIDGES (BRoadening Identities for Diverse Groups Engaging with STEM). Three of her greatest accomplishments was being selected as 2018 and 2017-NCWIT- NC: Charlotte Metro/Piedmont Triad Affiliate Award Winner and selected as a 2017 Girl of Merit Award from the Girls World Expo. In 2016, she was a Runner-Up for 2016 NCWIT Aspirations Award. She was a presenter at the Find Your Stem and taught MIT Scratch at the 2016 and 2017 Tech Savvy Day, programs sponsored by the American Association of University Women. She was a program leader and taught MIT Scratch at the 2016 and 2017 IT Is for Girls & We Make IT Summer Camps, an AspireIT Program. Aleah has received several High School awards. She received her Adobe Photoshop Certification in January 2018 and is taking Adobe Video Design towards a certification. Aleah is a Girl Scout and has completed her Gold Award project-Girls Can Animate and will receive her Gold Award in May. Aleah plans to attend Savannah College of Art and Design and pursue a career in Animation and Graphic Design.
