This is my 23rd year of teaching in Alabama public high schools. I've taught technology for 12 of those 23 years. I currently teach Advanced Placement Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A to juniors and seniors. I also teach Computer Programming I in Java and Software Development to all grade levels. I am a member of CSTA and a Cohort 3 member of APCSP Alabama. I have served as a technology coordinator for 3 different schools. I teach AP Computer Science Principles to high school students at The University of Alabama during the summer as part of an Impact Alabama and A+ College Ready initiative. I serve as a Code.org and A+ College Ready trainer and AP College Board CSP Mentor. Our program won the 2018 Female Diversity Award from AP College Board and I received the Northern Alabama NCWIT Educator of the Year Award this year as well. We are starting a Girls Who Code club this year as well.
