Yuki is currently a senior in high school. She excels in both education as well as her extracurricular activities. In her early high school years, Yuki took a step in leadership. She was the first freshman to hold an officer position in Business Professionals of America. She followed up her success by obtaining the position of Vice President. In Computing for College and Careers, Yuki is certified in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. During her sophomore year, Yuki was first introduced to programming by taking Foundations of Programming class. She learned to make apps and shared that knowledge to teach and expose young kids to computer science. During junior year, Yuki was enrolled in AP Computer Science Principles and Procedural Programming Team. She is now currently taking AP Computer Science A and Object-Oriented Programming Team. The programming team has placed top in many local, state, and national competitions. Yuki has coded in Java, JavaScript, and C and is currently studying Python to further advance her knowledge in coding. As an officer and coordinator of five different clubs and organizations, Yuki is most passionate about Girls Who Code. She encourages many girls to join Girls Who Code at her school and the NCWIT community to expose them to computing. Yuki strives to take on internships and study computer science and engineering in college. Her main future goal is to combat water scarcity among developing countries and for the future with innovations to conservation and improvements to transport clean, fresh water.
