Aliya Chambless was accepted into the Girls Who Code summer immersion program and created a final project to raise awareness about the wage gap for women of different ethnicities. The game, named GapJumper, is on the internet and was featured on the Girls Who Code twitter and Instagram. Aliya is going to present it with her team to Microsoft employees to help convince Microsoft to host a Girls Who Code program next summer. Aliya is currently working at the exploratorium, and is helping to create an app for the other youth workers. Aliya hopes to major in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and wants to work for start-ups in the future.
