I am a Senior at Ingraham High School and concurrently attend college classes. I have completed all my college pre-requisites for the Computer Science Department at the University of Washington. My goal is to pursue a challenging and meaningful career in the field of Computer Science. I am a National Merit Finalist. I have been a member of the National Honor Society, FCCLA, and Environmental Club at school. I was co-editor of the school literary magazine for two years, and am currently working on two novels. I have been actively involved in my high school robotics club, serving in various leadership roles, including President. I have founded a community club called Techno Mutants as a youth outreach in the STEM field. This year, as part of Techno Mutants, I founded and coached an FLL competitive robotics team for middle schoolers. We won the prestigious Most Innovative Project Award. We continue to meet weekly in order to work on basic robot building and programming skills before the next competitive season begins. I am working with a Mary's Place homeless shelter to tutor youth and I also tutor youth in the community through my affiliation with the Kids With An Edge Learning Center. I love learning languages and experiencing new cultures. I speak Hindi and English fluently, have spent four years learning Spanish, and am now learning French. I also enjoy Indian classical dancing, swimming, martial arts, and yoga.
