Alankrita is currently majoring in Computer Science at the University of California--Berkeley. As an immigrant, her family's language barriers cease to exist while programming. Her commitment to technology, math, and science has always fascinated her curiosity to raise questions. Over the years, she has tried finding their answers by searching for her own talents and paths. Her passion towards computing and technology has won her FIRST Robotics Mentor Inspiring Youth, several President's Volunteer Service Awards,and Best Buy Scholarship 2012 Recipient of $1000 for outstanding community service and involvement. By studying essential design principles in Video Game Design, COSMOS, she used Java (Processing) to create multiple prototypes and video games using arrays, lists, boolean, etc. and she proudly presented her final game, Uncharted Territory, to highly motivated and academically inclined students/professors at International Computer Science Institute. In preparation for Team 2489 FIRST Robotics Competitions, she built/designed robots and utilized her computer skills to outreach businesses for grants and scholarships, host workshops, and promote fundraisers. She hopes to take part in creating both local and global level changes and diversifying the scientific community.
