Yanbing’s curiosity for computing started very early when she would take things apart as a young child. Her curiosity has carried over into her learning C++ Programming and AP Computer Science courses as well as learning Python on her own. Yanging has attended COSMOS, a residential summer program at UC Davis, and spent hours on a research paper about fully homomorphic cryptography. She has also participated in the Technovation Challenge held at the LinkedIn campus in Mountain View. While there she worked on developing an Android application that digitalized the childhood game of cootie catchers, also known as fortune tellers. She is currently working on an application that is essentially a student planner integrated with teacher websites and school activity calendars that will facilitate homework, carpooling to school events, and class grades.
