Amy is a graduating high school senior who plans to study computer science and public health in college. As a high schooler, she worked extensively with data and machine learning as a part of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab. She has developed algorithms for wifi-based motion detection and native language identification, publishing an IEEE peer-reviewed paper and presenting at an international conference for the first project. In college, she aspires to focus on data security in healthcare, constructing more efficient and secure methods to store patient information and expand healthcare access.
