Amrita is currently a tenth grader at West High. She was first introduced to computer science in elementary, where she competed in her school's robotics team. After qualifying to state and winning various awards, she decided to enroll in an engineering class, where she learned CAD as well as Java. She was later accepted into the KWK program, where she learned Java, CSS and HTML. Her final project was creating a interactive website that helps teens stay focused while also combining other aspects of organization to create one fluent program. Using her knowledge gained from the various computing classes she enrolled in, she volunteers for the Utah Wingspan Solutions where she helps kids learn basic computer programming. Her interest in computer science has led to her to join SheTech and join various technology related events in FBLA. As the president of the Hackathon Club in her school, Amrita plans to compete in many computer programming competitions while teaching other members of the club how to code. In her free time, she works at Kumon, tutoring kids in math and reading, as well as volunteering at the library. She is also a varsity team member in her school's debate team and a member of her school's MUN team. Her plans for her future include studying computer science and specifically artificial intelligence in college, with a focus in finance and the implementation of AI in investment banking.
