Her greatest technical accomplishment was creating a premiere pro video for her ECS class. Alecia is involved in FCCLA, where last year she got 3rd overall in the Junior Division in the Sports Nutrition category with a gold and competed in Debate last year getting 3rd at region and helping contribute to her team’s championship at state and region . In the future, she would like to serve an LDS mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, go to college, and get a master’s or doctorate degree-most likely in something medical such as oral surgery or oncology. Along with that, she would also like to attend flight school sometime in her lifetime, possibly as her major. She would like to be able to go on a humanitarian trip this year, either with HEFY or with IVHQ. She has done 4-H for seven years now and has learned to raise pigs, sheep, and goats and sold them at county livestock shows. She has won Grand Champion Market Hog, Garfield Country Champion Market Hog twice, and Grand Champion Hog Showman and Reserve Grand Champion Hog Showman several times at both Garfield and Kane County Livestock Shows. Alecia has been involved with several church service projects and has served as Beehive 2nd counselor and Mia Maid President. She has also received awards in school from teachers and the principal, in 4-H, and in FCCLA. Alecia has had a 4.0 all throughout her schooling, and has gotten a 27 on the ACT, scoring a 30 on reading and English. She has won a poster design contest done by the PYPC, shoe making contest by Ms. Chid, a Middle School art contest done by the Student Council, and was a runner-up in a workplace safety poster contest done by the Utah Labor Commission. Alecia has worked mowing grass at the city cemetery and moving sprinklers for a summer, working in her family’s local nursery for four years, and worked at Henrie’s Drive-Inn for two years. She has also cleaned rental houses and condos in Panguitch, Panguitch Lake, and Brian Head and has gained much experience from this and a strong work ethic.
