Bio

Aylara is a junior at The Central High School in Tuscaloosa, AL. Aylara holds a 4.9/5.0 GPA within the first nine weeks of her junior year. Aylara in 2015, 2016, and 2017 has attended summer camps at the Alabama School of Math & Science in Mobile, AL. In the first two years, the camp was for a week, where she was exposed to biology, math, art, photoshop, and computer programming. The last camp lasted two weeks and she focused on computer programming. She was introduced to the Python script, and the Raspberry Pi computer. In summer 2018, she has attended a three-week course titled, "College First", which is a program at the University of Alabama that gives young students a chance to visit the campus and prepare for AP classes. The course of her choice was AP Computer Science. As a sophomore student, Aylara took the Career Tech class taught by Ms.Evans at CHS. She has received credentials in both Microsoft Word and PowerPoint by Microsoft. Aylara is a very active student, in both student and volunteer organizations. Aylara and three other students competed in a nationwide event titled, "Life Smarts", twice. In this event they had to answer questions which called for them to think quickly and critically. Central High School placed first within the state of Alabama two years in a row against all other high schools in the state. Aylara along with her teammates attended the national competition in Pittsburgh and San Diego. Aylara is also very active in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). Within the FBLA umbrella Aylara has traveled to Montgomery to represent Alabama as a legislative Page Intern. Aylara has also traveled to Birmingham, AL three times for State Leadership Conference (SLC). She has also traveled to Orlando, FL, New Orleans, LA, and Charlotte, NC for National Fall Leadership Conferences (NFLC) under the FBLA program. Aylara would like to study towards her bachelor's degree in Biochemical engineering program. After receiving her bachelor's degree, Aylara would like to continue with her education to become a medical doctor.
