Alejandra's interest in technology began in her freshman year and grew even more when she took her first programming class. Her two advisers, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Perez, encouraged her to keep taking programming classes. Throughout her education, she's learned App Inventor, HTML, Java, Alice, and is certified in Word and PowerPoint. Alejandra has been a member of the Business and Information Technology academy for 2 years, Future Business Leaders of America for two years, Spanish Club where she is currently president, Student Council, and cheered for 5 years where she was captain one year. At the FBLA District competition, she placed 1st place in Public Service Announcement, and 5th place in accounting 1. Alejandra has taught in the Girl IT Up program, STEM day, and has also recruited for the BIT Academy. Alejandra plans to attend the University of Arkansas right after she graduates high school and plans to major in Computer Science and Accounting.
