For all of her years in high school, Abby has been enrolled in a program named Legacy 2000. This is a science, technology, engineering, and math program unique to her school. Here students are encouraged to explore careers and subjects they are passionate about. Her Junior year, she worked in groups to design Rube Goldberg machines that could perform a task of their choice. They decided that theirs was to take a picture on an iPhone. The unique feature of the machine they designed was the electrical circuit of Abby's design. The design and implementation of the Rube Goldberg machine was just one of the many research and development projects from this class. Abby carried out multitudes of experiments she designed and analyzed this data in plethoras of papers. She hopes to further her entrepreneurial spirit through her college experience. There, she will find students with similar interests to collaborate with and an abundance of resources to pursue her interests.
